Electronic Dance Music Dynamic Duo Killrkat Slips Out Of The Back Alley And Into Comic-con

Killrkat, known for their cutting edge live electronic dance music sets, has been selected to perform at the International Creative Management / Motorola Comic-Con party.

Comic-Con International San Diego was founded in 1970 and has become the largest comic book and popular arts convention in the world.  The convention, which once showcased only comic books, has expanded over time to include a diverse range of pop culture elements.  In 2010 over 130,000 attendees filled the San Diego Convention Center.

Enter Killrkat, a futuristic dynamic duo comprised of two internationally established electronic musicians whose identities shall forever remain a mystery, lending suspense and comic book appeal.  Since emerging onto the scene Killerkat’s live performances have created quite a buzz in the Electronic Dance Music Community.  One reason they have garnered so much attention could be that the group members conceal their identities by wearing giant black cat- heads with intense glowing LED eyes.  Another arguably more substantial reason for the fanfare is that a live Killrkat set is at the forefront of technology.  Their performance includes recently released software "The Bridge", used for integrating Serato DJ software and Ableton Live, which allows them to seamlessly fuse live on the spot remixing using an iPad connected through wifi.  They also blend in old school turntable mixing and live electronic drums.  A recent video displaying their iPad remixing technique was featured on numerous electronic music production blogs including matrixsynth.com, http://synthwise.com/search/node/killrkat, and iPad music sites such as the-palm-sound.
