Lead singer and guitarist, Jared Kerr, began his music career in 1996 at the age of 13, when he and Matthew Pop formed Jet Orange. as a drummer playing with Matthew Pop. He soon switched to singing and guitar after a while and it stuck. Jared’s unorthidox approach to the guitar; inspired by Classical guitar, but with none of the class; provides Bodyface with its multilayered sound. Jared has been in such bands as Jet Orange, Spitter, Monster Christ, Fin until 2008 when he and Roger El Asmar formed Bodyface.
Roger Asmar, left his home country of Venezuela hell bent on drumming for an American rock band. He paid his dues in the NYC rock scene playing with such acts as Derailed, Defect, & the New Professionals. Roger’s persistence and dedication paid off when he met Jared in early 2008. The pair immediately recognized the potential of the fiery melodic music that they were producing and in the summer of 2009, Bodyface booked a European tour spanning 6 countries.
Upon their return to the States, Bodyface went directly to the studio to record their first full length album. With the assistance of recording legend, Tommy Uzzo, Bodyface crafted an album that is memorable and unique in a way that has not been heard for some time.
September of 2010 saw many huge developments for the group. The bands multimedia website, whatisbodyface.com was launched and they celebrated the release of their debut album with a special performance at NYC’s Webster Hall.
Bodyface just returned from a nationwide tour in support of their debut album,
